Braehead Arena Going Cashless from September 2025

Braehead Arena is set to move to a fully cashless system from September 2025, marking a significant step forward in improving the customer experience at our events.

Over the past 6 months, we saw a steady decline in cash payments across our venue, with the vast majority of guests opting to use card or contactless methods. Moving cashless allows us to streamline operations, reduce queue times, and create a smoother, more efficient service for everyone attending events at the arena.

This change also brings Braehead Arena in line with a growing number of venues across the country who have already made the transition to cashless systems.

From September, payments across all areas of the arena — including bars, concessions, and merchandise stands — will be taken by card or contactless, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
